Cathy Tung - Artist

Cathy Tung is a passionate artist who specialises in acrylic, oil and ink painting. She loves nature and knows the importance of how nature brings more joy to our lives. Many of her works are inspired by great artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe. Art is a way for her to re-imagine how she once experienced nature at a young age. 

Cathy has a Bachelor of Fine Arts and is currently studying Bachelor of Visual Arts. She has won multiple national awards such second prize for the Autumn exhibition of the Chinese painting competition at the Chinese Culture University, high distinctions in the 19th Exhibition of lecturer & student calligraphy, Exhibition of Chinese calligraphy and the entrance award at the Education & Honour month of calligraphy. 

She is always rediscovering herself through her artwork and consistently re-imaging how nature can influence our mood. The environment is a source of inspiration for her and it has allowed her to express how she feels about herself. "Beauty, nature and memories re-imagined" is her motto and the colour combinations in her artworks will make any space feel closer to mother earth.
